Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says an American takeover of Greenland would amount to the end of the NATO military alliance.

Seeking to calm tensions, Republicans and Democrats affirmed that they supported Denmark’s control of Greenland as President Trump vowed to buy it or take it over.

Mette Frederiksen said she would “strongly urge that the United States stop the threats against a historically close ally.”
