A "huge explosion sound" was heard over Norwich this afternoon - with many people believing it was a sonic boom. The loud bang was heard over the city centre at around 4.30pm on Monday. It came while jets were flying overhead - but none of the aircraft were visible on Flight Radar.

North Jersey residents and even a local police department were left baffled by reports of a loud explosion in the area Sept. 7. Residents took to social media to ask whether others had heard the noise, reported shortly after 9:15 p.m. in the Pequannock area.
