Outrage strikes UFC 324 after referee misses huge calls
UFC 324 was headlined by Paddy Pimblett vs. Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title. Many fans expected an easy Pimblett win, but the fight turned into an absolute brawl. Gaethje also faced major backlash over what some viewers believed were missed calls on illegal moves.
Jean Silva catapulted himself into featherweight title contention by beating Arnold Allen at UFC 324. Alexander Volkanovski will defend his 145lb belt in a rematch with Diego Lopes at UFC 325 on January 31. Fans complained about the matchup because of the one-sided nature of their first fight at UFC 314 last April.
Having been undefeated in his first seven UFC fights, Paddy went down 48-47, 49-46 and 49-46 on the judges' scorecards. After claiming the interim title, Gaethje now moves on to face full lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria, in a unification fight later this year.

Paddy Pimblett, on the other hand, has a UFC win that was heavily criticized due to the judging of his matchup at UFC 282 in Las Vegas. Pimblett admitted that he was lucky to beat Jared Gordon in 2022 after winning a unanimous decision.
