Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia, announced Monday that if his eligibility waiver is approved by the NCAA, he will return to Ole Miss in 2026, meaning the Rebels should once again be a factor for the national championship.

The Pete Golding era for the Ole Miss Rebels has officially begun. Golding was elevated from defensive coordinator to head coach after former head coach Lane Kiffin chose to become the head coach of the LSU Tigers.

Pete Golding's parents, Skip and Tena, met at Delta State and are divorced. Skip Golding was a football coach, including at Margaret Green Junior High School in Cleveland, as well as two stints at East Side High School.
