General manager Monti Ossenfort and his team have reportedly met with over a dozen coaches across the league to be the franchise’s next head coach in 2026.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach candidate Jeff Hafley has emerged as the favorite for the Miami Dolphins head coaching job, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Four other teams have requested second interviews with Hafley. But he appears to be the leading candidate in Miami.

It was a natural regional rivalry that defined the early days of the NFL. From 1929-44, Green Bay won six NFL championships and the Bears won five NFL championships. Halas and Lambeau were behind that. When the NFL merged in 1967, both teams were in the NFC Central Division, which became the NFC North Division in 2002.
