Police arrest demonstrators at Minnesota airport amid mass mobilization to protest ICE actions
Unions, progressive organizations and clergy had urged Minnesotans to stay away from work, school and stores Friday to protest the immigration enforcement surge in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The protest comes as federal immigration enforcement agents continue conducting operations in SoCal, including an incident that ended in gunfire.
A federal magistrate judge rejected a criminal complaint against journalist Don Lemon, who said he was at the church protest for reporting purposes.
The center of Zurich served as the backdrop to demonstrations on Monday evening where protesters carried “Trump not welcome” and “Put Trumpster in the dumpster” placards. At the front of the crowd, several people clutched a massive sign reading, “NO WEF! NO OLIGARCHY! NO IMPERIALIST WARS!”
