SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — One person is dead, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting overnight in downtown Springfield.
SPRINGFIELD – Illinois State Police special agents are reviewing a case in which a Springfield Police officer shot someone.
The suspect in Thursday night's fatal shooting was arrested at the scene, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Authorities said it occurred after an attempted traffic stop at approximately 5:13 p.m. in the 2400 block of Neil Road.
