This is why the current “Standard of Care” for skin cancer screening isn’t enough. 🛑 This spot is on the leg. It is less than 2mm. To the naked eye? A freckle. Under the dermatoscope? Melanoma. Most exams overlook spots this small because they look “normal.” But skin cancer can look normal to your naked eye. I evaluate every mole with dermoscopy. I don’t guess. My goal is to make universal dermoscopy the standard. And increase the standard of training, so less skin cancers are overlooked. Help
