Man I get excited when I start teaching about FATWOOD! Fatwood is most often found in pine trees and is the wood that’s been saturated with the incredibly flammable resin of the Pine 🌲. The Pine tree in this video has been laying on the ground dead for more than 20 years and the fatwood inside is still perfectly preserved even though the rest of the tree is rotting away. You’ll most often find it in the joints where the branch meets the main trunk. Fatwood will ignite with just a spark and burn
