En 1849, le scientifique français était parvenu à évaluer la vitesse de la lumière grâce à une simple roue dentée. Son expérience a été réalisée pour la dernière fois en 1904. Grâce à un faisceau lumineux de 5 km, des scientifiques montois ont reproduit l’idée de Fizeau.
