RTDs, like any sensor in industrial settings, can face issues due to corrosion, moisture, or poor connections, resulting in abnormal temperature readings. To test the RTD, use an ohmmeter to measure its resistance, ideally around 110-115 ohms. Using a process calibrator to simulate the RTD can help pinpoint any issues. If the expected temperature displays on the HMI, the problem likely lies with the RTD. | RealPars
