Branding yearling bulls before I turn them out with cows in couple weeks. Hot iron Branding is the only legal way to show ownership of cattle in the state of North Dakota. I won’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt the bull, it is painful but it will heal quickly and hair will grow back over the brand within a few months.
