Otters (subfamily Lutrinae): There are 13 species of Otter on the planet, a mammal that is in the Mustelid family along with badgers, weasels and polecats. They are semiaquatic or aquatic animals with diets based primarily on fish, although crabs, insects and birds are all taken. They are playful animals and appear to engage in various behaviours for sheer enjoyment, including making waterslides and then sliding down them into the water and many find and play with small stones.
