Police in Tulsa say an officer-involved shooting has killed a suspect who was armed with a machete. According to TPD, an officer was flagged down outside of the Salvation Army at Archer and Denver around 1 p.m. on February 7, 2026. The victim reported that a man was threatening her with a machete. Police say the officer found and made contact with the man who initially compiled. However, the man allegedly did not comply with commands to put down the machete.
