The Kidney Project team is striving to give kidney patients the health, mobility, and quality of life they need to move beyond the burdens of dialysis and organ shortage. The implantable bioartificial kidney (iBAK) replicates the key functions of a healthy kidney by the blood and a bioreactor that supports functional renal tubule cells to reabsorb water.
