In Iceland, it’s commonplace to be driving along big pipes moving hot water. But most of the geothermal power here is, of course, untapped and just leaking out of the earth through random steamy vents…like this little ad-lib roadside attraction. It’s windy (please excuse the buffeting)... it’s dangerous (one bigger-than-normal belch and things get much worse than a messed-up wardrobe)... and it’s great travel. This is my final dispatch from Iceland. But there’s lots more great travel on the way!
